Crisp temperatures and the crunch of autumn leaves beneath our boots makes us thirst for the flavors of fall. Maple Bourbon Cider is one of our favorite sophisticated-yet-simple craft cocktails—make one just for yourself or multiply to wow a crowd...

Maple Bourbon Cider

Ingredients:

  • 1½ oz. bourbon

  • ¾ oz. apple cider

  • ⅓ oz. maple simple syrup (or more, to taste)

  • ¼ oz lemon juice

  • 2 dashes of bitters

  • Ice

To Make Maple Simple Syrup:

  • In a small saucepan, combine equal parts water and maple syrup—we love the local maple syrup made at Land's Sake Farms.

  • In a small saucepan, bring to a boil until maple syrup dissolves.

  • Allow to cool.

Instructions:

  • Combine all ingredients in shaker or beaker.

  • Stir or shake.

  • Strain into glass.

Optional:

  • Garnish with cinnamon stick and/or thinly-sliced apple.

  • Top with a splash of sparkling cider or water for effervescence.

Enjoy!
